Some Feedback About CW's Stuffium

@Ms Mellody
Hey!
I am glad u enjoyed the products…Sometimes makeup colors are hard for me to decipher as well…Many things don’t translate….The new hot shade of bronze or coral will make me look like Bobo the clown….
The lotion…. That’s one of the few items I haven’t tried Personally don’t care for anything caramel, but everyone raves about the stuff…Soooo…I can say that it is a good product…
And I just want to warn the ladies that Artistry is NOT cheap, but if you are looking for noticeable results, a recommend!
That would be ME!!! I want to share my experiences with my products;
Ladies this breath spray is absolutely wonderful. May I suggest that all you single ladies get a couple of bottles and keep them in your going out handbags!!! For those first meet and greet dates from your on-line activities the added sparkle of fresh “really crisp clean minty” hello is always a great touch!!
The lip gloss that I ordered was lovely, however it was not the right color for my dark skin tone. The texture of the gloss was very smooth and creamy not too sticky – but just not the right color for my skin tone.
The caramel hand lotion – WOW lovely lovely smell. I really liked this lotion, it goes on smooth and the smell stays with you for a long time.
Amway’s customer service was top notch. I even contacted the CS dept a few days after I placed my order because I was afraid that I had not placed my unit number on the order. A CS agent assured me that I had indeed placed the unit number in the correct field of the order form and that my order had shipped properly.
All in all I am very pleased with the Artistry products, the quality is great and the Customer Service is friendly and attentive.

Addressing a question/concern that has often been brought up:
“CW...What About Bad Places & Services...Are You Saying We Should Goto Them Because They're Black/BW???”
ANSWER: This is where common sense comes in...Do not patronize a business no matter which race/creed/whatever is operating them...Giving someone a "pass" for tacky service does not uplift ANYONE! EX: Continuing to patronize the overbooking, gossipy, salons which allow the distribution of 'questionable' goods on premise is NOT where it's at...This quite naturally, is not limited to hairdressers and can (should)be applied to all areas... Supporting the subpar mak

CW, The sound came through very clearly. In regards to topics of discussion: one thing that has not been addressed is parenting and educating children to see the world with a different mindset than what is preached in some of the black community. Self esteem starts at home

Ordered the “Twin Set” of Shima Oil …There is a detangling comb I am looking for, but I forgot who sells it…If anyone knows, I need a large one with 2 rows of teeth…Any leads appreciated…Come across so many linx, that if they’re not save more than likely are forgotten!
So for hair…The only other thing I need now is the “SheScentIt” Reconstructor & Conditioner…Believe when I first started to really grow out my hair some mistakes were made…I was too rough trying to totally comb it out, so my top is really short…Trying to grow it out more…
But Anywhoo…Check out these vids (Will probably edit this comment l8r to add more):

Congratulations on your decision to lock your hair! I’ve had sisterlocks for five years this November and I absolutely love it! The start up cost was a bit steep, but at the time DH and I were newly married, both working, and making BANK. I think it cost me like $550 to get the locks installed (I started out with natural hair), then about $125 every 4-6 weeks (my hair grows like a weed in summer) for a retightening. Then I went to the class to learn how to retighten my hair since we were moving to New England and where we were going, there were no sisterlocks consultants. It was totally worth it. I’ve been maintaining my locks for about 4 years now. It’s had its ups and downs, from the time I messed a lock up trying to retighten (I combined them) to figuring out that I need a little moisture every day to keep them looking fresh and staying happy. So anyways, I think you’ll really enjoy your locks. I get plenty of compliments on them especially when I style them. All the best to you on your journey and please post pictures!

@How-Now-Brown-Cow
(Sorry I couldn’t resist…LOL
)
I am looking forward to it…Going this week to get it done…I am starting to gather tutorials now on how to tighten for those times a dollar is needed (or wanting ) to be stretched…But while I’m still learning, gonna do it by the book…Just did my “last hoorah” hair color before getting them done…
Also…I was told no oils/conditioners until they loc…Guess I just gotta see how this thing goes!
July 8th, 2010 at 14:09
Yes, the no oils/conditioners thing is important. The locks can unravel if you do that. I know doing it by the book can be a pain at times. Especially the braiding and banding at every washing, but it’s worth it. In a year you won’t have to do that. Maybe sooner. It was over a year before I could wash without doing that and it was a pain in the butt. You enjoy your experience. I just finished retightening my locks yesterday. This was basically due to lack of time (I have a husband and 18 month old now) than anything else. I used to make a movie marathon for my retightenings. Now I just do it when I can.

@Browncow
Thanx! I had it done Thurs…Just waiting for the Loctitian to fwd me the pics…Just some newby locs, but a step nonetheless…I am sure we will see even more progress soon enough…Just gotta budget for those retightenings….

Bought an Amina Wadud book off amazon and then loaned it out to a friend after reading it. Brilliant work.
