Which is why we should have our own magazines to showcase fashions but some designers do not want to feature black girls in their clothes.
Eunice Johnson, now deceased of Ebony magazine used to go to europe and pick her clothes and did not let anybody tell her different but the black magazine editors today act like they do not know what to do and essence has hired a white woman to do their fashion direction. I guess no black women were available or maybe they thought they were being hip by hiring non black. I wonder how many white magazines have black women on their fashion staffs.

To Lois yes there are black fashion designers but most white designers do not want to feature the girls and some of the black ones are chasing white customers only.

I agree with Bellydancer. It’s like CW always says – reciprocity. If a magazine/designer makes it clear (doesn’t even try to pretend) that they are not interested in servicing you, then they deserve no support.
Just did a post on that – “The squeaky wheel get’s the oil” and I believe the best way to squeak is with your dollars!
